Project Overview
Northeast Precast was approached by a General Contractor with a unique project in the Lehigh Valley that was designed as a tilt up building. Pressed for time on schedule and with winter approaching, they challenged us to provide a precast solution to the project. Not an uncommon ask for us, however this project has architectural corners, with 3 dimensional panels on a slope with a 20’ cantilever.
We at first followed their design, however the original design required additional steel to support the panels. With the steel coming in too costly, we worked with the design team to redesign the corners to meet their architectural intent with horizontal structural panels. With this concept coming to life and the buildings going up ahead of schedule, this project went from being behind on paper to being complete a month early.
